I've heard Kanye say things like "I'm bigger than the Beatles", and "Justin Timberlake could've been the voice of a generation, but he hasn't put out an album in 2 years, Me,,,, I am the voice of this generation".. For a while, I thought that he had delusions of grandeur, that he thought of himself as some sort of God, which could only escalate with continued multi-platinum success. Maybe even into a scary/crazy/ narcissistic Music Messiah. But then, at the 2008 Hip Hop Awards. Kanye won the MVP award for best Artist. Then he came out and said that He was grateful, but truly the award belonged to "Lil Wayne", wow!!! I was blown away, It was like total redemption, in the place of my previous repulsion of his ego. I never could deny his musical innovation, talent, taking the best music and repackaging it in the most marketable, stylish, and amazing way. His new album, the song heartless, the reggae beats, the electronica, fusion, hip hop, OMG delicious.!!!

Better than The Beatles? Now that's just comical. Putting God and Kanye in the same sentence....even funnier. Although I applaud him for his incredible talent, I still hold the Bush outburst against him. I know, I know...typical.
